I'm almost 60 years old. I live in the San Diego area. I've been sick for 15 years, although it took about seven years to get a diagnosis.
I used to be a Foreign Service Officer for the US Dept of State. As a US diplomat, I travelled and lived in several places around the world. I loved being part of something bigger than myself, doing work that supported my country and our citizens. I loved traveling, as well as painting, and gardening, and so many other things. Hiking, climbing volcanoes, exploring, meeting friends, dancing, reading. I can't do any of these things now. If I were cured tomorrow, I'd be right back out there, exploring and learning. I'd visit my grandchildren and show them the world. I'd be dancing in the rain.
