Virginia Woolf's advice, "Arrange whatever pieces come your way," has become a touchstone for me.This illness took away some pieces of my life and brought other pieces I wasn't expecting. Unstructured time. My dear dog. The freedom to experiment with art at my own pace. Friendships with other people affected by chronic illness. And an openness to finding beauty in things that are small and slow.
