My name is Sarah Stanton. I'm from Perth, Australia, but I'm currently living it up in a bed in San Francisco. So far, I've been sick for eight years. In a past life I was an opera student, a composer, a literary translator, and a writer; I'm still a writer, these days writing is a sometimes treat. Mostly, I hate being sick, but sometimes in a strange way I'm grateful. It's taught me to care more, to slow down, to love deliberately. It's taught me compassion. If I got better tomorrow, the first thing I'd do is rush out and unleash that compassion on the world.
